About me

Steve Bromage is a Consultant Urological Surgeon who specialises in male fertility and urological oncology. Steve graduated from Newcastle University and has gained medical and surgical experience through working in Australia and New Zealand before settling in the North West of England.
Steve has experience across all areas of general urology and has a sub-specialty interest in urological cancer, in particular renal disease and robotic surgery. He is one of the highest volume renal surgeons in the UK and performed the first laparoscopic partial nephrectomy using a novel green dye to highlight the tumour borders in the UK. He performed the most robotic renal procedures in the UK in 2019.
Steve also specialises in male factor fertility. He is trained in microsurgery and performs reversal of vasectomy with the operating microscope to enable the best results when joining these tiny tubes together. He also performs surgical sperm retrieval procedures and varicocele surgery. He has published many original scientific articles in this area.
