About me

Dr Dushyant Sharma was trained in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine at the Mersey Deanery, Liverpool, before taking a consultant post at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital in 2009.
His clinical interests include managing complex diabetes and endocrine (hormonal) disorders in adults. He runs speciality clinics for Type 1, Type 2 diabetes, diabetes-related complications, diabetes kidney disease, and weight issues in patients with diabetes, while endocrinology clinics manage pituitary, adrenal, thyroid, parathyroid, and reproductive endocrinology, menstrual disorders, and postmenopausal issues.
He is the clinical lead for the department of diabetes and endocrinology at Royal Liverpool University Hospital and has been instrumental in developing multiple new clinical services. He has a great passion for clinical education and research. He was previously RCP College Tutor for Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Teaching diabetes and endocrinology trainees at Mersey Deanery, and Lead for diabetes education at Royal Liverpool Academy.
