About me

Mr Anjum is a Consultant Urological surgeon at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust with a specialist interest in Endourology, General Urology and Paediatric Urology. He has broad based urology training in UK and abroad. He has completed MSc in urology from University College London (UCL) in 2001. He has many international presentations and published multiple peer reviewed papers. He regularly audits the care that he provides to his patients and is an audit lead in the department. He is enthusiastic regarding teaching and training of juniors and currently is an educational and clinical supervisor.
In addition to general urology, he has specialist interest in the management of kidney, ureteric and bladder stone. Mr Anjum has extensive experience of all treatment modalities including Lithotripsy, Supine Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL), Percutaneous Cystolithotomy and Ureteroscopy (Flexible/Rigid) and laser ablation stones and upper tract tumours. He is a mentor and trainer for consultants and senior trainees to learn supine PCNL He has a special interest in the replacement of JJ Stents under local anaesthesia, Percutaneous Cystolithotomy and ureterorenoscopic treatment of stones in a calyceal diverticulum. He also covers all aspects of the investigation and treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, including Bipolar TURP and Greenlight laser prostatectomy. Moreover, he routinely performs district hospital paediatric urological procedures; including Circumcision, orchidopexy, and ligation of patent processus vaginalis
