About me

Dr Kelsey M Jordan has been a Rheumatology Consultant at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer for Brighton Sussex Medical School since 2006. Prior to this she was a specialist registrar In Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine and completed her training in the Wessex region (Southampton, Basingstoke, Winchester) in 2005 which included her research as European Rheumatology Research Fellow researching knee osteoarthrtis and resulting in the EULAR European Guidelines for knee osteoarthritis publication and publishing in the field of osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and gout.

Dr Jordan has a number of areas of clinical interest.

She has a specialist interest in gout and crystal arthritis and is a member of the British Society of Rheumatology special interest group for gout and a Director of the UK Gout Society (charitable organisation). She is passionate about improving the care of patients with gout, currently the only curable form of arthritis.

She set up the early inflammatory arthritis service in Brighton and has a keen interest in high quality management and holistic care for this group of patients.

Dr Jordan also runs the adolescent Rheumatology service for young people with musculoskeletal conditions and the paediatric rheumatology service at the Royal Alexandra Childrens Hospital ensuring a smooth transition from childhood to young adult services at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

In her spare time Dr Jordan enjoys spending time with her young family and playing the piano.
