About me

I have been a Consultant Paediatrician at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford since 2010. Prior to this I was a Consultant Paediatrician at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. I obtained higher specialist training in Paediatrics from East of England Deanery (Cambridge). I am the lead for Paediatric Gastroenterology in my trust. I am additionally the lead for Child Death Review in NHS MId Essex. I was previously the Clinical Director for Children’s Services for 6 years.

I have extensive experience in General Paediatrics, Paediatric Gastroenterology and Paediatric Allergy. I have special interest in food allergy, abdominal pain, constipation, gastro-oesophageal reflux and coeliac Disease

I am a senior examiner (MRCPCH) of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, London (RCPCH). I am also an undergraduate examiner (MBBS) for Queen Mary University, London and Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford. I was formerly a Royal College tutor. I am an editorial board member of Paediatric Care Online (PCO), an online healthcare tool of RCPCH. I sit on many interview panels as RCPCH representative..

I have presented at both national and international conferences and received awards, as well as being published in peer-reviewed journals.
