Trained at St Thomas' Hospital Medical School, London. General ophthalmology training posts at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, Southampton Eye Hospital, University Hospital Wales and Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Sub-specialty training (two years) in oculoplastics (adnexal surgery) and in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
