About me

Counselling and psychotherapy can help if you are experiencing difficult emotions, feeling stuck with an issue or wish to reflect on your life from a new perspective. It can also help you to cope with a stressful situation or traumatic event which has left you feeling distressed or vulnerable.

I am a professionally qualified and experienced psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist, offering a safe, non-judgemental, confidential and supportive space in which to explore your difficult feelings. I work in North London, Farringdon (EC1), and in Central London, where I work with patients individually, over long or short term periods, taking into account each person's unique needs and circumstances.

I am an accredited member of the BACP - British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, the UK's largest professional body for counsellors and psychotherapists, which ensures that its members are appropriately trained and qualified. Motivated by a curiosity in people and their capacity to develop, I believe it is the task of the therapist to help people explore possible alternatives to their fixed ways of seeing the world and to their ingrained patterns of living – both of which may cause them to feel stuck in the past, or to feel consumed by present difficulties.

My experience of working with patients includes a wide range of emotional difficulties including:

depression
trauma
psychosexual difficulties
anger
anxiety
stress & panic attacks
family and relationship problems
self esteem issues
experiences of loss & bereavement
sexual abuse
health problems
identity issues
work related issues
