Mr Clamp is the Senior Consultant Spinal Surgeon at Royal Derby Spinal Centre, Head of Service for Spinal Surgery and a highly experienced Consultant.
Mr Clamp is a Fellowship trained Spinal Surgeon covering all aspects of adult and paediatric spinal pathology.
Mr Clamp�s practice covers all aspects of spinal surgery including paediatric spinal surgery. Mr Clamp's focus is degenerative spinal pathology (the commonest cause of back, leg, neck and arm pain), spinal trauma and metastatic spinal disease. This includes the use of minimally invasive techniques.
Mr Clamp's case load involves complex adult spinal surgery including anterior thoracic surgery, multi-level anterior lumbar surgery and complex 3-dimensional adult deformity surgery. Mr Clamp regularly performs a wide complement of complex spinal injection therapy including cervical and thoracic trans-foraminal epidurals and atlanto-axial joint injections. He regularly sees complex tertiary referrals from other Consultants.
Mr Clamp is renowned for his clear approach and decision making whilst remaining approachable, empathic and thoughtful.
Mr Clamp is a member of the British Association of Spinal Surgeons and the International AO Spine Society.
Mr Clamp has published articles in peer reviewed journals, written book chapters and written operation techniques for spinal surgical procedures. He has lectured widely on spinal topics and is a regular faculty member on other related courses including instructional courses for Consultants.
