About me

I am committed to providing a clinically excellent and well organised service in respiratory medicine, general medicine and thoracic oncology. I believe that this can be realised by working closely and developing strong professional relationships with my consultant colleagues, managers and allied health professionals. I strive to provide a supportive environment for junior colleagues under my supervision, with the aim that they receive high quality education throughout their attachments. I will lead relevant and directed audit to assess quality of care and to ensure rapid progression through the patient care pathways.

Areas of interest

All specialties of respiratory medicine, in particular management of chronic cough, asthma, COPD, Pleural diseases, lung cancer, bronchiectasis, interventional bronchoscopy, sleep disordered breathing inc. Sleep apnoea, long COVID, and medical education.

I am the trust clinical lead for COPD and Pleural diseases with special interest in Asbestos related lung disease.My other key area of special interest is interventional Bronchoscopy. I am experienced in other specialised interventional procedures including:

Tumour debulking with Argon plasma and snare cautery
Endobronchial stenting
Endobronchial valves for patients with emphysema/COPD
Endobronchial coils
Balloon dilatation of airways

I am experienced in all aspects of respiratory Medicine including Bronchial asthma, Sleep disordered breathing (e.g. Obstructive sleep apnoea) and Chronic suppurative lung disease e.g. Bronchiectasis, reflux associated respiratory disease and investigation and management of chronic cough.
