About me
Mr Pathak completed his higher urological training in South Yorkshire. In 2010, he was appointed a full-time, NHS Consultant Urological Surgeon and is a Consultant at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals with his private practice at Claremont Hospital, Sheffield and Park Hill Hospital, Doncaster.
He has broad experience in general urological disorders. He specialises in urological cancers, particularly, kidney and testicular cancer, the latter for which he is the South Yorkshire Lead. He performs open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Formerly, teaching Anatomy at the University of Oxford. Currently, he is a trainer on the National Laparoscopic Kidney Surgery course. He in an examiner at the University of Sheffield Medical School. He is also an exam question writer for the FRCS (Urol) examination. He was awarded an MD at the University of Leicester investigating molecular biological markers for the chemoprevention of prostate cancer. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and written book chapters too. He has undertaken travelling fellowships to the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic and University of Southern California, USA
