About me
i am a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, one of the biggest Thoracic Surgical Units in the UK. I have over 20 years experience in Thoracic Surgery. Specialist interests include lung cancer, surgery for emphysema, thoracic malignancies and minimally invasive thoracic surgery including VATS and Robotic lobectomy. I graduated from Manchester University in 1994 and completed my basic surgical training in Manchester. I moved to Liverpool for my cardiothoracic training and was appointed a consultant at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital in 2007. I am a board member of the British Association of Surgical Oncology and Associate Editor of the European Journal of Surgical Oncology. I have been a member of NICE guidelines committees and have over 50 peer reviewed publications.
