About me
Miss Bano is a consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Miss Bano is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of The British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP). She is an accredited colposcopist and a trainer.
Miss Bano has a wide range of expertise in all aspects of gynaecology providing high quality care to women with general gynaecological conditions including colposcopy, urogynaecology, vaginal surgery, menstrual disorders, contraception, menopause/HRT and pelvic pain.
Her broad training within the field of obstetrics and gynaecology has enabled her to develop specialist interests within the field of women’s health. Miss Bano has a keen interest in teaching and is an educational supervisor for trainee doctors during their clinical placements and in charge of GP trainees and the Lead trainer in Colposcopy at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Miss Bano has published widely within the obstetrics and gynaecology peer reviewed literature throughout her career and frequently presents her work in international and national medical conferences.
Miss Bano is the consultant lead for Gynaecology Clinical Governance at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
