About me
I completed my specialist training in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine on the North West London Specialist Registrar rotation before taking up a substantive Consultant post as a Consultant Geriatrician with a specialist interest in Stroke Medicine at University College London Hospitals and North Middlesex University Hospital.
I moved to West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in 2014, initially as the Trust Clinical Lead for Stroke. During this time, I oversaw an expansion of the consultant workforce and significant improvements in the Trust's stroke services and performance.
In October 2020, I was appointed Clinical Director for Medicine for the Elderly and Stroke, a role I held for almost five years. In June 2025, I was appointed Deputy Chief Medical Officer at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, combining senior medical leadership responsibilities with my ongoing clinical practice as a Consultant Geriatrician and Stroke Physician.
My clinical interests include all aspects of general and geriatric medicine, particularly the assessment and management of older adults with complex medical problems, as well as stroke and transient ischaemic attacks (TIA).
I am a member of the British Association of Stroke Physicians and also serve as a Royal College of Physicians representative.
