About me
Miss Harleen Deol is a nationally highly-regarded Breast Cancer & Reconstructive Surgeon specialising in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery.
All her clinics offer 'One-Stop Diagnostics' where the consultation, investigations and the imaging results are available on the same day.
She is passionate about providing personalised care from the start, with clear and concise information/ explanations to her patients, supporting each patient through their journey successfully with up-to-date treatment and a range of innovative surgical methods appropriately.
Having trained as a Doctor at Barts & The Royal London Medical School, she trained in General Surgery in London and NE Thames region, including The Royal Marsden Hospital. Specialising in Breast Surgery, she was awarded the prestigious National Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Fellowship and also undertook a Paediatric Surgery Fellowship before starting as a Consultant Breast Surgeon in Hertfordshire in 2011.
She serves on the Association of Breast Surgery national Clinical Practice & Standards Committee, acted as the Chairwoman of the Beds & Herts Cancer Alliance network lead for Breast Cancer, is a national adviser on Breast Cancer for Genesis Care and is the Clinical Director for Breast Cancer at East & North Herts NHS Trust.
Miss Deol has collaborated with Victoria Derbyshire & the Future Dreams charity in London, with a podcast for breast cancer patients discussing breast reconstruction.
She supports Breast Cancer Now by providing training for Breast Cancer Nurse Specialists, is a trainer of Breast Surgeons & Senior Surgical Tutor for University of Cambridge medical students.
She has presented her work at national & international conferences and trained surgeons on implant breast reconstruction in Europe & Sri Lanka.
In 2023 she won the prestigious Chairman's Award for the outstanding candidate at the Asian Women of Achievement Awards, being praised for her ongoing dedication to breast cancer patients and for challenging misogyny in the workplace.

Miss Deol treats breast problems of any nature, benign or cancerous and patients with a family history of breast cancer. She performs immediate & delayed breast reconstructions and symmetrisation surgery (breast reduction or augmentation) in patients with breast cancer.
Further specialist interests: patients with Family History of Breast Cancer & Risk-Reducing Surgery, Screen-detected breast cancer, management of the range of benign breast conditions, including breast pain, vague changes and lumps affecting women of all ages.
She incorporates plastic surgery techniques in the management of breast problems, allowing for an improved cosmetic outcome and breast appearance after surgery.
