About me

Mr. Navin Verghese is the clinical lead of the ABMU Spinal Surgical Unit which covers the majority of Spinal Surgery for West and South West Wales. Graduating from St Barts and the Royal London Medical School he worked in and around London during his house jobs before completing the All Wales Orthopaedic Higher surgical training programme where he worked in the Cardiff, Swansea and Oswestry spinal units. Following the prestigious AO Brisbane spinal fellowship where he helped set up the spinal tumour service for Queensland and Northern Australia he took up post in the Morriston Spinal unit.
Mr Verghese currently co-chairs the South Wales spinal surgical clinical reference group to reconfigure the management of emergency spinal care.
He is highly experienced in the majority of spinal conditions including minimally invasive
and contemporary spinal procedures aimed at improving patient outcomes whilst minimizing complications and the post operative rehabilitation period.
He is involved in teaching and research with publications in international journals and has presented in many conferences including an upcoming key note lecture in the N Spine international congress 2017.
