About me
Jon Ghosh has been a Consultant Vascular Surgeon since 2011 and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester. Mr Ghosh provides a consultant led, team-based comprehensive service for the medical, endovascular and surgical management of all vascular diseases.
In addition to a busy clinical practice he has active roles in medical education and research. He serves as Training Programme Director for Vascular Surgery in the North West of England, is an examiner for the FRCS (Vascular) and heavily involved in advancing patient care through training of medical and allied professionals at all levels.
Mr Ghosh has been lead for the North West Core Surgical Education and course director for the regional RCS Basic Surgical Skills course. His doctorate research thesis focused on novel strategies to prevent vascular graft failure and his Master of Arts dissertation concerned concepts of autonomy in healthcare law and bioethics. He has been awarded a postgraduate diploma in medical education. He has produced over 40 journal publications, book chapters and has presented research nationally and internationally.
Away from work, Jon enjoys family time, travel and music. He enjoys cycling and challenges himself through full- and half-marathons and multi-sport events.
