About me
I am a very experienced Relate trained relationship counsellor, sex therapist, supervisor and trainer. Specialist areas include communication difficulties, affairs, domestic violence/abuse and adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I have been particularly successful working with individuals with anxiety or mild depression (possibly as a result of relationship difficulties) and whose low self-esteem is having a negative impact on their mental wellbeing and relationships whether at work or home.
I have many theories to choose from, psychodynamic, systemic, cognitive behavioural theory (CBT), transactional analysis, using active techniques etc; but rather than prescribe one to fit all, I like to adapt the work according to client needs and their own preferred learning styles. I see clients in a dedicated consulting room in a quiet cul-de-sac with parking outside. Situated close to the A10/A120 junction, I am easily accessible to Ware, Harlow, Stevenage, Bishops Stortford and Buntingford.
