Mr Shyamalan is a highly regarded Consultant Hand, Wrist and Elbow Surgeon serving the West Midlands. In addition to his private work at the Midland Hand Clinic, he holds a senior consultant post at The University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, where he is actively involved in training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.

His dedication to the field was born from personal experience with a rugby related scaphoid fracture, driving him to complete prestigious, world-class fellowships at Ganga Hospital, India, Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, The Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London.
