About me
Dr Koumellis leads the Neurointerventional service at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals and has introduced a number of minimally invasive techniques for treatment of diseases of the brain and spine. His main interest is treating intracerebral aneurysms and mechanical thrombetomy for acute stroke. He has performed hundreds of image guided spinal injections. His expertise includes CT, MRI and angiography of the neuraxis and their use in Neurology, tumour imaging, degenerative spinal disease and stroke.
