About me
I am a Consultant Cardiologist with more than 20 years of experience helping people look after their heart health. I subspecialise in cardiac electrophysiology, which involves the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders, including arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation, as well as the implantation of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
I practise privately at the London Heart Practice, 78 Harley Street, and work within the NHS at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
I am also Professor of Cardiology at Imperial College London, where I lead a research programme focused on developing new treatments for people with heart rhythm disorders. I have published more than 200 scientific papers in leading international journals.
I am frequently invited to speak at international cardiology conferences and regularly train consultant cardiologists from around the world in advanced cardiac procedures, including specialised pacemaker implantation techniques.
As a high-volume operator, I perform a large number of procedures each year to treat heart rhythm conditions, including atrial fibrillation ablation, catheter ablation for other arrhythmias, pacemaker implantation, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator implantation.
