About me

I am a fully accredited specialist consultant surgeon on the General Medical Council's specialist register for Upper Gastro-Intestinal and Laparoscopic surgery. I am a Consultant in the NHS at the City and Sandwell Hospitals NHS Trust Birmingham, UK, a Consultant at the Priory private hospital, Edgbaston Hospital Circle Group), Little Aston Spire Hospital, Westbourne Centre (Ramsay Healthcare), and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Birmingham. I run an Upper Gastro-intestinal and Laparoscopic surgery in the NHS practice.
I qualified and trained in general surgery and obtained the FRCS fellowship qualification in surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow 1997.
I also teach surgical skills and techniques to the trainee in Surgery who will be the consultant surgeons of the future. I have regular commitments in various training courses, teaching laparoscopic surgery, as a supervisor introducing junior surgeons to surgery, and as a supervisor to medical students studying medicine at the University of Birmingham.
I run laparoscopic Hernia courses and laparoscopic Cholecystectomy courses

I also run a successful private practice in Upper GI surgery, Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and laparoscopic hernias and in laparoscopic anti reflux surgery.I have interest in Gastro intestinal surgery, I have advanced laparascopic skills.
