About me

I trained in Cardio-thoracic Surgery in Cambridge, Cardiff, Swansea and Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. My patients have higher than national average risk scores but my outcomes are exemplary. I have performed the first Thoraflex hybrid aortic arch aneurysm surgery in Wales widely publicised by BBC in 2016. I have also introduced the new Inspiris Resilia tissue valve in our clinical practice.I perform cutting edge high risk unusual and also high profile cases including a number of patients requiring open heart surgery with severe learning difficulties.
I was able to perform cutting edge Gene therapy work in animals in Cleveland and this is now undergoing studies in Humans.
I have a keen interest in High risk surgery particularly aortic surgery. Perform a wide range of operations like coronary artery bypasses, aortic valve, mitral valve, tricuspid valve repair or replacement, surgery on the atrial and ventricular septum, septal myectomy, thoracic aneurysm aortic root, ascending aorta and arch surgery, left ventricular aneurysm surgery.
