About me
I qualified from St George's Hospital Medical School, London in 1996. My training has been completed in the South of England with entry onto the Specialist Register for General Surgery in 2010.
Since 2011 I have been a General and Colorectal Surgeon at Worthing Hospital (University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust) with a special interest in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, particularly for patients with colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease.
I offer the full range of treatment for the following:

Hernia (inguinal, femoral, paraumbilical, epigastric)

I have a special interest in the prevention and management of surgical site infections, on which I have lectured Nationally and Internationally. I am an expert advisor for a NICE Medtech Innovation Briefing on the use of negative pressure to prevent wound infections.
Despite the limited surgical options for pelvic floor problems (faecal incontinence), this along with functional bowel disease (IBS), is also a special interest. I also offer lifestyle advice relating to these conditions.
In my NHS role I have a special interest in teaching and training of medical students and junior doctors. In 2021 I was awarded the inaugural Barber's prize for best surgical trainer in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
In my spare time I like to read novels, garden, walk and spend time with my family, especially especially walking or cycling on the South Downs.
