About me

I am a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia (FFPMRCA), practising in Colchester and Ipswich. I have worked as a consultant since 2012 and assess adults with persistent pain, including back and neck pain, sciatica and other nerve pain, complex regional pain syndrome, persistent pain following surgery, and selected joint pain.

My approach begins with understanding the likely sources of pain, how it affects everyday life, and what the patient hopes to improve. Following assessment, I develop an individual treatment plan. This may include a medication review, advice about rehabilitation and physiotherapy, and image-guided injections or other targeted procedures where clinically appropriate. A procedure is not assumed to be the right next step for every patient.

I also contribute to education and clinical research in pain medicine through publications and invited teaching.
