About me

The aim of my practice is to offer high quality treatment using evidence based medicine and tailoring my expertise to the individual patient. My practice is patient orientated.
I am fully trained as a laparoscopic lower GI Surgeon especially in laparoscopic colectomy and anterior resection and abdominperineal excisions for low recital cancer.
I completed an MD at London university in the management of low recital cancer and my work has been used in the department of health's Lorec study based at Basingstoke. My supervisors for my research included Brendan Moran and Prof Heald who pioneered good quality rectal cancer surgery.
My laparoscopic training comes from centres of excellence such as St Thomas, Frimley Park and the Royal Surrey Hospitals.

My private practice is held at Spire Thames Valley Hospital in Bucks and BMI Princess Margaret Hospital in Windsor. I am also the colorectal cancer lead at Wexham Park and the surgical tutor and educational lead in surgery at Wexham Park.

Research interests

Low rectal cancer. I am currently participating in the fiat trial for anal fistula and completed an audit on enhanced recovery.

Personal interests

I play the violin in an orchestra, play the piano and raise my 3 children, enjoying family activities and holidays.

Awards received

Cum laude award for MRI and rectal cancer from European Surgery in 2005
I was runner up for BJS prize surgery presentation in 2004 at acpgbi.
I received many undergraduate prizes at St Mary's medical school including prize for pharmacology, the Waller prize for physiology and the Cowan entrance scholarship. I received honours in surgery with my MBBS degree.
