About me
Prof Jayaprakasan is a Royal College (RCOG) accredited specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery and fertility specialist. He completed his sub-specialty training in fertility medicine and surgery at QMC, Nottingham, where he subsequently worked as IVF Consultant and Associate Professor in Reproductive Medicine and surgery for two years before he moved to take up the lead fertility consultant role at Derby Fertility Unit. He associates with University of Nottingham as Honorary Professor for his academic work including fertility related research and with CARE Fertility, Nottingham as IVF consultant. He has vast experience in fertility treatment including assisted Conception (IVF/ICSI) treatment and Reproductive laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries. His other special interests include recurrent pregnancy loss, endometriosis, period problems, uterine fibroids and septum, treatment of ovarian cysts and reproductive endocrinology (PCOS, Menopause). He is experienced in the application of advanced pelvic ultrasound in the field of fertility in which he has done PhD and has gained international reputation for his work on ovarian reserve testing and IVF trials. He has widely published in leading fertility and ultrasound journals (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Kannamannadiar_Jayaprakasan), has edited infertility and ultrasound textbooks including the ones titled "Gynaecological ultrasound scanning", "Ultrasound in Subfertility" and management of pregnancies following ART".
