About me

Dr Dhruv Patel was educated at Epsom College, Surrey and the University of Bristol Medical School, qualifying in 2003.

After surgical training in London (including Urology at the Royal Marsden Hospital), he was appointed to the St George’s Hospital London Radiology training programme in 2007. He was the Specialist Ultrasound Fellow at St George’s Hospital for the final year of his training from 2011 to 2012 and combined this with a further role as the London Deanery Advanced Cardiac CT Fellow. He was appointed to his appointment as a Consultant Radiologist at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation in October 2012.

Dr Patel’s main clinical interests are General ultrasound including interventional and musculoskeletal and Uroradiology. He is the Clinical Lead for Ultrasound and has established the technique of microbubble-contrast enhanced Ultrasound at Frimley Park Hospital. He has a specialist interest in multiparametric prostate MR imaging and is high volume prostate MRI reporter, working closely with Urological colleagues at Frimley Park and Clare Park from Urology Partners. He also has specialist interests in hepatobiliary MRI and Head and Neck imaging including ultrasound-guided needle biopsy.
