About me
Dr Rathore graduated with distinction from the King George's Medical College, Lucknow India in 1992 and completed post graduate general medical training and was awarded Gold Medal from Lucknow University, India. He did his cardiology training at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, including a period of clinical research leading to the award of an MD from Liverpool University. He then completed a prestigious and rare advanced clinical cardiology fellowship in Japan, under the mentorship of Dr Takahiko Suzuki and Osamu Katoh, a world authority in coronary angioplasty. During this time, he gained experience in chronic total occlusion angioplasty (unblocking completely blocked arteries) and rotational atherectomy (unblocking heavy calcified arteries).
Dr Rathore has published over 40 peer review papers in medical literature, 3 book chapters and is a reviewer for several international cardiology journals. He has been an invited member of faculty for a wide range of national and international scientific meetings.
