About me
Dr Royce Vincent is a Consultant Chemical Pathologist at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, one of London’s largest Teaching Hospitals and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London. He is the Clinical Lead for the Parenteral Nutrition services and the Laboratory Director for the Biochemistry services at King’s.
Dr Vincent graduated in 2002 and completed his specialist training in Chemical Pathology/Metabolic Medicine and clinical research at King’s College Hospital and Imperial College respectively. He was awarded a Master’s degree at University College London in 2008 and Doctorate at Imperial College London in 2012. He was appointed a Consultant in 2012.
Dr Vincent’s private practice mirrors his NHS work. He is a specialist in the management of patients with high cholesterol, thyroid disorders and those requiring parenteral (intravenous) nutrition in hospital. He is SCOPE certified by the World Obesity Federation, an internationally recognised standard of obesity management expertise, which promotes and acknowledges excellence in obesity prevention and treatment, and works as a physician alongside bariatric surgeons managing patients with morbid obesity.
Dr Vincent’s main research interests are in obesity, clinical nutrition and endocrinology. His recent academic work focuses on appetite regulation and altered glucose and bile acid metabolism after bariatric/metabolic surgery. He is involved in many clinical studies including randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and his work has been published widely in international medical and scientific journals.
