About me

Mr Laugharne was appointed Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial / Head & Neck Surgeon at the Royal Derby Hospital in 2008 and has weekly clinics at Queens Hospital Burton.
He undertakes general oral, maxillofacial surgery and has a specialist interest in head and neck cancer and reconstructive surgery, benign and malignant salivary gland disease and facial trauma.
He is a core member of the Head & Neck multi-disciplinary team.
He is a member of the AO UK faculty lecturing and teaching surgeons on the management of facial trauma and facial reconstructive surgery. He also treats benign and malignant facial skin lesions.
He is committed to training the next generation of surgeons and has been vice chair of the Surgical Advisory Committee - Royal college of Surgeons, Recruitment lead for Head & Neck Training Interface Group Fellows, OMFS Training Programme Director for the East Midlands.
