About me
I specialise in general gastroenterology with specific interests in liver disease, hepatobiliary medicine and endoscopy, practising at University Hospital Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. I am currently the Clinical Chair for Weston General Hospital, a division of UHBW. I am a fully qualified trainer of endoscopy having taught at the St George's Hospital National Endoscopy Training School, RUH Bath, and more recently set up with my colleagues at Boston Scientific an international specialist teaching program for advanced hepatobiliary endoscopy. I was previously the Endoscopy Lead clinician for UHBW. I also developed the regional hepatobiliary SpyGlass endoscopy service and the Liver Transplant assessment service at University Hospital Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, working in conjunction with Liver Transplant centres in London.
I spent 3 years of my training at the Kings College Hospital Liver Unit. My research interests include biomarkers of renal dysfunction and cirrhosis, as well as complications of cirrhosis.
I work hand in hand with my radiology, surgical and Histopathology colleagues to provide a truly multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
