About me
Melanie attended Cambridge University and the Royal Free Hospital, London Medical School. After graduation in 1997 she underwent thorough and comprehensive training in all aspects of ophthalmology at St Thomas Hospital, London and as a Specialist Registrar at Oxford Eye Hospital. She also completed 2 years of research on cataract outcomes leading to a higher degree at Great Ormond Street Hospital/University College London. Melanie also trained intensively for 2 years in eyelid and tear drainage surgery. This advanced sub speciality training was at Oxford Eye and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals.
