About me

I'm a Consultant Neurodevelopmental paediatrician with over 18 years experience of working in the NHS. My special interest is in Neurodisability, ADHD, Social Paediatrics (adoption and children looked after) and Educational Paediatrics.
I’m also the designated medical officer for children with special educational needs (East/North Hertfordshire) and the paediatric liaison for looked after children in North Hertfordshire.
I’m the clinical lead for the ADHD service in North Hertfordshire and facilitated the development of the newly launched ADHD integrated care pathway (East/North Hertfordshire).
I undertake weekly ADHD clinics with the ADHD nurse specialist team. I also run regular CDAC clinics for children with possible ASD and neurodisability clinics.
I carry out regular clinics at the Valley school for children with moderate learning difficulties.
I’m also actively involved in the safe-guarding/teaching rota and responsible for training ADHD nurses in North Hertfordshire.
I’m developing my skills as a children’s fiction/fact writer with the aim of enhancing the profile of children with special needs.
I have developed several information leaflets for patient/families in my department and now a published author of children’s fiction/fact books.
