About me
Anjali Kothari is a Consultant Gynaecologist at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with extensive experience in the management of a wide range of gynaecological conditions and early pregnancy complications. She completed her postgraduate training in North West London and has undertaken advanced specialist training in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, colposcopy, and gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasound scanning. She has also developed expertise in robotic gynaecological surgery.
Miss Kothari is the Lead for Emergency Gynaecology & Early Pregnancy and Colposcopy services at Hillingdon Hospital. She is also a Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) Preceptor for training in acute gynaecology and early pregnancy, minimal access surgery, and colposcopy.
She is an experienced surgeon performing complex laparoscopic, robotic, hysteroscopic, and open gynaecological procedures, including laparoscopic hysterectomy, myomectomy and robotically assisted surgery. Her areas of expertise include menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, fibroids, menopause and HRT, pelvic organ prolapse, abnormal smears and colposcopy, and early pregnancy complications.
At Clementine Churchill Hospital, patients may benefit from access to the advanced Da Vinci 5 robotic surgical platform, being one of the first private hospitals to acquire it in the UK. Robotic-assisted surgery can allow for greater precision during minimally invasive procedures and may help reduce pain, minimise scarring, and shorten recovery times, helping patients return more quickly to their normal activities.
Miss Kothari is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based care with a focus on minimally invasive techniques that support faster recovery and improved patient outcomes. She is actively involved in clinical research and has presented her work at national and international meetings.
