About me
I am a chartered physiotherapist, who qualified in 1993 from Manchester University. My initial experience was gained in both Birmingham and London, working as a physiotherapist for the NHS, private sector and within the military. I have also worked abroad, including Australia, voluntary work in Calcutta and working as a physiotherapist in ski resorts in the French Alps.
Over the last 23 years, I have gained a breadth of physiotherapy experience working with a wide variety of sports. These include England and GB Hockey, England Badminton, England Netball and para-olympic athletes. I also worked for England Women’s Rugby, including being physiotherapist at the 2006 Women’s Rugby World Cup.
Throughout my career, I have also been involved in private practice physiotherapy. The breadth of experience I gained in the NHS and as a sports physiotherapist has been of huge benefit in my private practice work. More specifically, having been involved in top level sport, I have a full appreciation of how important it is for people to be able to continue to participate in their chosen activity. With this in mind, I believe that a fast, effective solution should always be strived for. I now run a private physiotherapy practice in Cheltenham.
Areas of interest
Having worked full time in elite sport, I have a special interest in treating sports injuries.
