About me
On completing core training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Northern Ireland I was appointed to a minimal access fellowship/Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland lecturer position in West Sussex, England and Dublin, Ireland. In this 2 year period of special training I developed expertise in minimally invasive techniques and attained competency in total laparoscopic hysterectomy, adnexal surgery, myomectomy, surgical treatment of endometriosis and hysteroscopic procedures such as endometrial resection, myomectomy and septum/adhesion resection. I became proficient in outpatient diagnosis and management of menstrual disorders, post-menopausal bleeding and cervical pre-cancer.
I was awarded diploma in advanced gynaecological endoscopy with distinction from the university of Surrey. Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level was an integral part of my fellowship and included participation in the development of a teaching program for the Dublin Laparoscopic Skills course and continue to contribute to teaching courses in Northern Ireland.
Areas of interest
