About me

Helen Ruane is an HCPC registered Chartered Physiotherapist with over 20 years clinical experience within the NHS and private sector and provides comprehensive physiotherapy and treatment for common and complex musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries, including rehabilitation following surgery or fracture.

Helen established Lymington Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic in 2012 to provide a convenient, friendly physiotherapy service for the people of Lymington and the New Forest. The clinic is now situated in Milford on Sea.

Helen offers appointments both within the clinic or home visits.

Since qualifying as a Physiotherapist from the University of Manchester with a BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy in 2003, Helen has attended many postgraduate training courses, and studied as Masters Level, including modules in neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction and sports rehabilitation, leading to a Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) in Advanced Physiotherapy.
She has also trained in Pilates with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute.


Outside of work, she is kept busy by her 3 children and enjoys trying to keep fit by running, cycling, swimming and playing netball.
