About me
Dr Barbagallo qualified in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Catania, Italy, in 2003, with the highest academic score achievable (110 cum laude). She completed her specialist cardiology training at the Postgraduate School of Cardiology, University of Catania, Italy and was awarded the Diploma of Specialist in Cardiology in October 2007, with the highest academic score achievable (30 cum laude). She was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals (BTUH) NHS Foundation Trust in 2010. She was elected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians London in 2013 and was awarded Level 3 Clinical Excellence Awards in 2017.
Dr Barbagallo is an enthusiastic, competent and experienced Cardiologist, treating adult cardiac conditions and practising at a consultant level for the past 13 years.
She regularly sees adult patients in her NHS clinic, at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, where she is also involved in the management of patients admitted with acute cardiac conditions, along with treating adult patients in her private practice, at the Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital.
Dr Barbagallo strongly believes in holistic patient centred care, which she successfully practices.
