About me

I am a Consultant Nephrologist and Physician with ten years' experience. I cover all aspects of kidney disease, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease and hypertension. I am also an accredited general physician with a general medical practice. As a result, I can deal with many medical problems in one go, kidney or non-kidney. I am often consulted by patients with a wide variety of general medical and renal problems and also in cases where the specialty is unclear. I spend time with my patients so that I can keep tests (and therefore costs) down to what is needed, and I always ensure that my patients understand any treatment plans before starting.

I have a specialist interest in patients who have unusual electrolyte (blood salt) disorders, recurrent kidney stones, and rare kidney diseases.

I teach medical students and junior doctors, gives lectures nationally and internationally, and am Principal Investigator for a number of international research trials at the Royal Free Hospital.
