About me

I am a Consultant Gynaecologist and the lead for Gynaecological Oncology and colposcopy service at the Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. I am Royal College accredited in laparoscopic surgery, gynaecological ultrasound, and colposcopy and have a special interest in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and management of early gynaecological cancer.

I am also a BSGE accredited Endometriosis surgeon and lead the Stockport Endometriosis Centre, a tertiary referral service for complex cases. I work with a range of experts to offer a holistic care pathway for pelvic pain and collaborate with surgical specialists in colorectal surgery and Urology when radical surgery for endometriosis is required.
I offer laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for the treatment of fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, adhesions and early endometrial cancer. I perform most keyhole surgeries as day case procedures including laparoscopic hysterectomy and removal of ovaries, fibroids and cysts.
I believe this enhances recovery and rapid return to normal activities with minimal post surgical sequelae.

Areas of interest

Laparoscopic hysterectomy (Total, Subtotal),
Laparoscopic and hysteroscopic myomectomy for fibroids, Laparoscopic excision of rectovaginal endometriosis and treatment of endometriosis
Minimal access surgical treatment for early endometrial cancer.
Colposcopy (examination of cervix and vagina); Ultrasound; Gynaecological ultrasound / scanning
One stop clinics for Menstrual irregularities, Post menopausal bleeding, Abnormal smears, Miscarriage, Ovarian Cancer screening.
