About me

Prof Raj Srirajaskanthan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and London Bridge Hospital. He is Head of the Kings Health Partners ENETS Centre of Excellence.

His private practice is based at London Bridge Hospital, Wellington Hospital and 120 Old Broad Street.

He is an accredited Bowel cancer screening colonoscopist and Deputy Director of the Kings Bowel Cancer screening service. He is accomplished in endoscopy and colonoscopy and has lectured and taught several advanced endoscopy courses.

He is experienced in all aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology. He graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ medical school with both a medical degree and intercalated BSc. He was awarded an MD (Res) from University College London following breakthrough clinical research into gastrointestinal tumours including neuroendocrine tumours.

He is a member of several national societies and also the Executive commitee for the European NET Society. He has a sub-specialist interest in neuroendocrine tumours and leads one of the largest centres in Europe. Currently he is the treasurer for UKINETs.

His interests are in luminal gastroenterology with major clinical interest in dyspepsia, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, altered bowel habit and irritable bowel syndrome.

He is still actively involved in research and heads an academic research programme.
He has written and edited 5 textbooks, on liver disease and neuroendocrine tumours. He has co-authored book chapters for 8 other books, and developed teaching modules and online educational articles.
