About me

Dr Batsi Chikura is a highly experienced NHS Consultant Rheumatologist who has been serving patients at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust since 2009. He runs regular clinics at both Lincoln County Hospital and Grantham Hospital, providing specialist care across a wide spectrum of rheumatological conditions which includes rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteorarthritis, lupus, scleroderma, polymyagia rheumatica, myositis, vasculitis, fibromyalgia, ankylosing spondylitis, Raynaud's, Sjogrens, joint hypermobility, osteoporosis, gout, sarcoidosis among other conditions.
He completed his specialist training in Liverpool and Manchester and holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Rheumatology (University of Manchester, 2007). He is a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians (London)) and a Member of the British Rheumatology Society. His research contributions include publications on Raynaud's phenomenon and lung disease in rheumatoid arthritis, among other topics.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Chikura is committed to medical education and has links to University of Lincoln Medical school. He is the Rheumatology Specialty Medical Education Lead and he teaches and supervises medical students regularly.
