About me

As a consultant cardiologist with a busy NHS practice I am fully versed with the vast majority of cardiovascular conditions. My research training has involved investigating the role of the nervous system and how it influences the heart. I have written a number of publications in cardiovascular journals as well presenting my research at international conferences. My specialist training is in heart failure, pacemakers and arrhythmia management. I run a specialist clinic for patients who suffer from heart rhythm problems as well as patients who suffer fainting or blackouts. In terms of general, cardiology diagnostics and treatment I routinely investigate chest pains and breathlessness through a rapid access clinic format. I am trained in most cardiology procedures, including ECG (heart tracing) interpretation, echocardiography (heart ultrasound) as well as pacemaker implantation.
