About me
Qualified from King’s College London in 1997, and returned to Sheffield to complete specialised orthopaedic training. Appointed at Rotherham Hospital in 2009 as a consultant with a special interest in shoulder and elbow surgery.
Originally from Sheffield I went to study medicine at King’s College London. After completing a degree (BSc) in biomedical science qualified in medicine in 1997. Working initially in the South East, I returned to the Sheffield region to commence and complete my orthopaedic training.
After passing the FRCS trauma and orthopaedics exam I undertook and upper limb fellowship in Coventry. I was then appointed as a consultant in 2009 in Rotherham.
My specialist interest is shoulder and elbow surgery, providing a comprehensive range of open and arthroscopic treatments for a wide variety of conditions. I am also clinical effectiveness, audit and governance lead at Rotherham Hospital.
I enjoy teaching to all levels of medical staff and am faculty on regional and national courses, including shoulder arthroscopy workshops at the Royal College of Surgeons in London.
