About me
I am a Consultant Upper GI Surgeon at Guys and St Thomas Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in London. The unit is based in a busy university teaching hospital which receives a large number of referrals for upper gastrointestinal cancer and complex benign disorders.
I qualified in 1999 and obtained a Master of Surgery degree from the University of London in 2007. I received a Royal College of Surgeons Research Fellowship Grant and was awarded a Hunterian Professorship for this work. I obtained my Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010 and am on the specialist register for general and upper gastrointestinal surgery.
I am an Associate Professor of Surgery at King's College University carrying out research in the treatment and care of patients with oesophageal cancer.
