About me
Dr Seamus J Murphy FRCP, PhD, AGAF
Dr Seamus Murphy was Associate Professor of Gastroenterology and Director of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, AR, USA 2016-2017.
He trained in N. Ireland and in the US, and completed an Advanced Fellowship in IBD at Mount Sinai, New York, in 2007. He completed a PhD in Barrett's oesophagus and oesophageal cancer at QUB in 2005 and a BSc (Hons) in Pathology in 1994.
He was awarded fellowship of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGAF) in 2017 for his clinical and research activities in N. Ireland. He is a Consultant Gastroenterologist in the Southern Trust, Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry. His clinical interests include IBD (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis) and endoscopy.
