About me
Dr Balan Palaniappan is a Consultant Radiologist in Cwm Taf University Health Board, appointed in 2009. He completed his medical training in Chennai, India before moving to the UK. He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. He was Radiology Clinical Director (2015-19) and Clinical Cancer Lead (2018-20). He has previously held national roles in Wales - Prostate Diagnostics Pathway Clinical Lead and Radiologist Trainer (Imaging Academy Wales). His specialist interests include GI & GU cancer imaging, multi-parametric prostate MRI and prostate biopsy.
