About me
Dr Weiler has extensive experience in high performance sports medicine, treating elite and professional athletes, as well as musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries for patients of any age and level of activity. His focus is on helping patients return to function and reach their goals. He attaches great importance to good communication, explaining diagnosis and rehabilitation strategies to his patients to optimise recovery.
He works across the highest levels of multiple sports with athletes of all abilities, ranging across all summer and winter Olympic Team GB sports, Paralympians, Premier League football, professional rugby, hockey, athletics and dance.
Richard is on the Board of the Institute of Sport & Exercise Medicine (UK).
Areas of interest
Dr Weiler has a particular interest in lower limb rehabilitation following injury or surgery, including tendon injuries and groin pain, and wide ranging experience in managing back pain and upper limb injuries.
He has wide experience in diagnosis and non-operative management of sports injuries, rehabilitating athletes across a wide range of sports as well as non-athletes with musculoskeletal conditions. Provides shockwave, diagnostic ultrasound and injections where appropriate.
