About me
Khaled is a specialist surgeon with an expertise in treating benign and cancerous diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract (stomach and oesophagus) as well as more general conditions such as gallbladder disease and hernias. Khaled has extensive experience in treating large and complicated recurrent hiatus hernias, using a combination of laparoscopic and open approaches. He is part of the surgical sarcoma team and has developed a long track record of joint working helping patients with ovarian and throat cancers.
Khaled is Director of GI Surgery at University College London Hospitals.and Head of the regional Northcentral and Northeast London UGI Service. He qualified from the University of Cambridge and trained in London, Oxford, and Australia. He completed a higher surgical research degree (MD) at University College London .
Khaled is leading the specialty specific programme focusing on optimising fitness before major surgery.
