About me

Mr Arunmoy Chakravorty is an experienced Consultant Oncoplastic and Cosmetic Breast Surgeon in London. He is the Clinical Lead for NHS Breast Unit at Mount Vernon and Hillingdon Hospitals.
He holds One-Stop Breast Clinics in state-of-the-art facilities in four locations across North London and Hertfordshire. One stop clinics provide a rapid diagnostic facility with clinical and radiological examination including mammogram, ultrasound +/-biopsy. He established the Breast Oncoplastic services in North Essex with an excellent patient feedbacks working as a Consultant in Colchester University Hospital for substantive number of years before moving to Mount Vernon Hospital, North London in 2016.
He is supported in each of his practices by a team of experienced breast radiologists, oncologists and pathologists to deliver a high quality evidenced based breast care. He has dedicated nurse specialists to support patients in all of his practices. He provides one stop consultation with results of imaging given in the same consultation, in all of his practices which helps to reassure patients. All patients requiring treatment will be discussed within an expert Multi-disciplinary team involving radiology, oncology, pathology and specialist nurses. If necessary , discussions around HRT, family history and genetic testing will take place based on guidelines and recommendations during the consultations. Mr Chakravorty provides access to the latest genetic profiling of tumour with Oncotype DX testing, which facilitates personalised decisions on the requirement of chemotherapy after breast cancer surgery.
Being a Specialist in Breast Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery, his practice ethos is to ensure optimal oncological clearance of breast cancer with best possible cosmetic outcomes. Mr Chakravorty has published evidence on safety of Oncoplastic Surgery. His communication to patient and primary care is prompt and exemplary. He has a tertiary referral practice for breast cancer management, benign breast problems, gynaecomastia surgery, complex revision breast surgery, breast implant surgery, breast augmentation and reduction, immediate and delayed breast reconstruction.
He has published extensively and has given lectures and presentations in various National and International meetings. He is a tutor and examiner for MS Oncoplastics, East Anglia University and The Royal College examiner for Intercollegiate Membership exams.
He is Council Member of Aesthetic Committee , Association of Breast Surgery , U.K. As a Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College, London, he is involved in teaching and training medical students. He has been certified in Cosmetic Breast Surgery by The Royal College of Surgeons, England. He has also been conferred the Honorary Adjunct Title of International Professor in recognition of his contribution to Research and Academics by AHERF, New Delhi, India.
